"Usu-zan" Welcomes Outdoor Diners at Single Thread Farms

“Usu-zan” Welcomes Outdoor Diners at Single Thread Farms

We personally delivered this unique piece to Kyle & Katina Connaughton, Michelin Three Star Chef and Owners of Single Thread Farms in Sonoma County, California. Each West Coast salmon represented, adorned with Autumn leaves flowing past them, and then mounted in a beautifully hand crafted Shousugiban shadowbox frame.

Kyle and Katina were so gracious to put us up in their master suite where we enjoyed a most restful and inspiring stay. The meal that the chefs created for us made us want to cry. Incredible, wonderful, beautiful.

More information regarding their four month winter event “Usu-zan” where our art will greet patrons at the entrance to their outdoor dining experience. Click here.

Adventurer's Club - Los Angeles Interview

Adventurer’s Club – Los Angeles Interview

Invited to the 100+ year old Adventurers Club in Los Angeles as a speaker to be interviewed live streamed at their private clubhouse as their members watched and asked questions online.

Felt like being in the middle of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Ride wait line and the Tiki Room.

Artifacts, big game mounts and a shrunken head. Really neat place that I look forward to returning to!

Four Seasons Sensei Lanai – 27 Piece Commission Installed!!

I am grateful and proud to be able to announce our completed installation at the Four Seasons on the island of Lanai, Hawaii. 27 original gyotaku pieces of local water subjects composed to convey tranquility and awe for the guests of @sensei at @fslanai .

I could not have undertaken this project if not for the local aloha spirit filled people that I now call my dear friends and family.

Thank you to @danielfineartservices for all the coordination and representation.
