Dwight Hwang's portrait commissions transform the human form into timeless impressions using the centuries-old tradition of Japanese gyotaku. Through touch, texture, and carefully applied ink, each work becomes a quiet record of presence — capturing not only likeness, but memory, intimacy, and connection.
Whether honoring a newborn child, celebrating a parent or grandparent, commemorating a milestone, or simply preserving a fleeting stage of life, every portrait is created as a one-of-a-kind work of art designed to be treasured for generations.
