During my travels around the world last year, I was given an opportunity to print a small Black Tip Reef Shark. I’ve always found it very difficult to print sharks with sumi ink due to their unique skin. For those that know, you can pour sumi ink onto the surface of a shark and yet very little will transfer to the paper. After a great deal of trial and error, we managed to control both the ink and the surface of the shark to produce a piece that I finally find satisfactory. Three originals were created from this shark in this composition.
39×24.5 inches. Has already been urauchi flattened. Please inquire regarding framing options.
