Never adding shading to create the unique patterns of these fish after lifting the paper. It is all done by different values of ink applied onto the fish and directly to paper.

Urauchi flattened. Please inquire if you would like for us to build a shadowbox frame.

A highly protected species in California, this specimen came from Mexican waters where their population is healthier.

Created in 2018.

An uncommon fish to see in gyotaku.
